Queanbeyan Little Athletics Centre Twilight Carnival 2015

Athletes and parents, we have cancelled the Twilight Carnival planned to be held on Sat 24 January due to lack of registrations

Timings:

Officials Sign-On at 4.00pm
Canteen facilities (incl. hot food, drinks and ice creams) available from 4.00 pm
Carnival Starts at 4.30pm

Entry:

OPEN TO ALL LAACT REGISTERED U6 to U17 ATHLETES
Entry fee is $5 per event or $20 for maximum of 5 events. Payment is required before the commencement of the Carnival. Payments accepted from 3.30pm on the day of the Carnival – CASH ONLY.
ENTRIES MUST BE ON THE OFFICIAL CARNIVAL ENTRY FORM and must be received on, or before, 23 January 2015.

Event Format:

The Queanbeyan Little Athletics Centre Twilight Carnival 2015 is open to all athletes from all clubs in the region.

Athletes compete in 5 (U6 – U17) standard events, plus a number of novelty events.

Novelty events, including: Parent’s race, Tug-o-war and an under 48 Tally Relay.

Event Rules:

The following rules apply to all competitors:

  • The Carnival will be conducted under ACTLAA (U6-U17) rules; however local rules (QLAC) take precedence.
  • Entry fee is $5 per event or $20 for maximum of 5 events. Entries will be accepted on the day and payment is required before the commencement of the Carnival.
  • All competitors must wear Centre/Club uniform with age and registration numbers.
  • Shoes must be worn in all events (Maximum 7mm spikes allowed for Long Jump).
  • In field events all competitors will be allowed two or three trials depending on number of competitors.
  • Ribbons will be awarded for the first three places in each event.
  • The organisers reserve the right to cancel an event with less than 3 athletes. In the event of inclement weather or unsuitable conditions and the Carnival being cancelled, an announcement will be made on QLAC website (www.qlac.org.au) and on the QLAC Facebook page.
  • EACH CLUB MUST PROVIDE ONE OFFICIAL FOR EVERY 3 ATHLETES ENTERED
